These Lovely Note Cards Are Patterns from The Art of Knitting 1897. I love to write lace patterns and when I saw The Art of Knitting 1897, I saw a wonderful challenge. If you have ever seen a knitting book from this time period, you will know how difficult the patterns are to understand. After rewriting and knitting over a dozen of the swatches from the book, I couldn't help but think how lovely the swatches would look on front of a note card. Then I thought it would be even better to print the pattern on the back of the card to share with other knitters. And that's exactly what I've done! The pattern for the swatch on the front of the card is on the back of the card. |
